Why This Role Matters

MissionHires is seeking a Traveling Electrical Project Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary building systems projects across multiple client sites. This role will drive client communication, oversee budgets and schedules, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage scope and change orders, mentor project staff, and present proposals—while ensuring excellence in electrical and related MEP systems delivery. Frequent travel to project locations is required.

How You'll Contribute
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships; provide regular project status updates to clients and leadership
  • Partner with management to develop and implement project strategies aligned with scope, schedule, and budget
  • Manage project financials including budget reports, cost tracking, revenue projections, and change orders
  • Lead and participate in internal project meetings to review schedules, risks, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction remain on schedule and within budget
  • Delegate tasks effectively and mentor project team members; provide coaching and performance feedback
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations and proposals; support business development efforts as needed
  • Ensure design coordination and quality across applicable building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
  • Maintain rigorous documentation, reporting, and compliance with company standards and client requirements
  • Travel regularly to project sites for kickoff, coordination, inspections, and stakeholder meetings

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Four-year degree in Engineering or equivalent applicable experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing larger, complex projects
  • Expert knowledge of applicable systems design (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and broad design engineering aspects, with strong electrical project leadership
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent complex projects end-to-end
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective with clients, executives, and general contractors
  • Strong public speaking and proposal presentation abilities
  • Proficiency with CADD, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project locations
