Why This Role Matters

MissionHires is looking for a proactive VDC Lead Coordinator on behalf of a company to lead and coordinate Virtual Design and Construction projects. This role partners with project teams, enterprise stakeholders, and project leadership to deliver accurate, efficient, and standards-compliant BIM/VDC workflows and deliverables. The successful candidate will combine hands-on technical coordination with project leadership, quality assurance, workflow development, software support, and visualization support. The position may be filled at different levels depending on experience and qualifications.

How You'll Contribute
  • Lead VDC projects, resolve technical and coordination issues, and ensure deliverables align with client requirements and company standards.
  • Coordinate with project teams on schedules, milestones, deliverables, and cross-discipline model coordination.
  • Review client BIM requirements and provide practical guidance to project teams.
  • Collaborate on BIM execution plans and support compliance with contractual BIM and VDC obligations.
  • Manage file-sharing and coordination processes across disciplines, including secure access and archiving of milestone submissions.
  • Create project-specific Revit content and families using established content-development standards.
  • Apply established VDC, detailing, and engineering workflows to improve project delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Help develop and implement new workflows to address project-specific needs.
  • Facilitate training on VDC software, workflows, standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate BIM/VDC development standards and data requirements to support company and project goals.
  • Support setup, troubleshooting, and use of production planning and tracking tools such as Stratus.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of VDC team outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Research, test, document, and support adoption of approved emerging technologies and lessons learned.
  • Partner with IT to ensure appropriate project hardware and software setup.
  • Provide end-user support for VDC platforms including Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Contribute to visual materials such as videos, animations, and 2D/3D graphics for presentations and marketing.
  • Assist with virtual design presentations, marketing materials, and feedback on RFPs involving VDC technology.

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • 2–5 years of relevant VDC, BIM, detailing, construction coordination, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead medium- to large-scale VDC projects and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Applied knowledge of BIM, VDC, and fabrication ERP tools, including Autodesk products, Dynamo, Newforma Konekt, Revizto, Naviate, and Stratus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Experience creating BIM content and Revit families (RFAs).
  • Solid understanding of construction practices and fabrication processes, particularly mechanical systems and field coordination.
  • Ability to develop and manage advanced workflows and implementation plans that improve project efficiency.
  • Experience with QA/QC processes for VDC deliverables.
  • Ability to evaluate, adopt, and integrate emerging technologies in alignment with industry standards.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical disciplines.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
