Morton is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for our client in NJ. This person will act as the key liaison between the business, operations, and technology teams throughout the ERP implementation process. This individual will work on-site to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, support configuration, and testing, and ensure smooth adoption across departments.
Partner with business leaders and end users to analyze current workflows, identify process improvements, and define ERP requirements.
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for the implementation team.
Collaborate with ERP developers, integrators, and internal IT staff to ensure system design meets operational needs.
Conduct data mapping, validation, and testing to ensure accuracy and consistency across modules.
Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and assist in training and documentation for business users.
Support post-implementation troubleshooting and optimization.
Serve as a trusted advisor and bridge between operations and technology, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, ideally in an ERP implementation environment.
Background in trucking, logistics, or transportation operations strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience with ERP or TMS (Transportation Management Systems) platforms.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to map business processes and translate them into system requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable engaging with all levels of business users.
Proven ability to work independently and on-site in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
