Extracta Group seeks a hands-on Project Manager to lead Texas field operations for copper network decommissioning and recovery. This role owns day-to-day field execution, stakeholder coordination, safety, reporting, and crew leadership across multiple work fronts. How You'll Contribute

  • Lead daily field operations across multiple extraction fronts (splicing, pulling, bundling, transport, container logistics)
  • Plan and schedule crews, equipment, yard activities, and materials to hit production targets
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, utilities, municipalities, and subcontractors with clear, timely communication
  • Oversee technical execution in COs, manholes, vaults, ducts, and yards; support splicing/decommissioning workflows
  • Run yard operations: inventory control, staging, cable segregation, and dispatch; maintain tool and fleet readiness
  • Enforce safety and compliance standards (OSHA, traffic control, permits, utility locates); lead JSAs and toolbox talks
  • Produce accurate reports, dashboards, and client updates; track production, costs, variances, and KPIs
  • Manage subcontractors: scope, quality, performance, and adherence to SOPs and SLAs
  • Identify risks, remove blockers, and drive continuous improvement and practical innovation in the field
  • Support budgeting, job costing, and P&L awareness; optimize productivity and cost per foot recovered
  • Build, coach, and hold accountable high-performing, safety-first field teams
  • Coordinate regulatory/municipal permits, inspections, and right-of-way requirements

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 5–10+ years in telecom, utilities, or civil field operations; copper infrastructure experience strongly preferred

  • Proven leadership in the field (foreman, supervisor, PM) managing multi-crew, multi-site operations

  • Fluent with telecom environments: Central Offices, manholes/vaults, duct banks, splicing/decommissioning workflows

  • Ability to read and interpret Shape/KMZ workprints and basic engineering documentation

  • Strong command of Excel and cloud tools (Google Workspace/Office 365; familiarity with Zoho or similar apps)

  • Demonstrated excellence in reporting, client-facing communication, and stakeholder management

  • OSHA-aware with a track record of building and enforcing safety-first culture; traffic control and permit know-how

  • Comfort with mechanical equipment, yard management, inventory control, and fleet/tool maintenance practices

  • Financial acumen: basic understanding of budgets, costing, productivity metrics, and P&L drivers

  • High initiative, ownership mentality, and resilience in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments

  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel regionally across Texas; willingness to work field schedules as needed

  • Education: Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Construction Management preferred, or equivalent experience
