Estimating Manager

MissionHires, on behalf of a a respected and growing commercial construction company in South Green Bay, Wisconsin, is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to help lead its preconstruction efforts. This is a newly created position driven by continued growth and increased project volume—not a replacement.

As the Estimating Manager, you'll play a key role in developing competitive bids, improving estimating processes, collaborating with operations and project management, and helping position the company for continued success. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial estimator who wants to have a greater impact on the business while working with a leadership team that values collaboration, integrity, and long-term growth.

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial construction projects.

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.

• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing.

• Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions.

• Work closely with project managers and operations teams to ensure successful project turnover.

• Help improve estimating standards, procedures, and best practices.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and clients.

• Manage multiple bids and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Support business development efforts by helping secure profitable projects.

• Conduct annual performance reviews; set goals and expectations

• Hold bi-weekly one-on-ones to sustain open, candid communication and team synergy

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.

• Commercial drywall or interior construction estimating experience is strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and estimating practices.

• Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and conceptual estimates.

• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Competitive Base Salary: $115,000–$150,000
