Travel Nurse: Telemetry - Louisville, Kentucky

Why This Role Matters

All About People is hiring a Travel Nurse: Telemetry (RN) to deliver safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care within a telemetry unit. This role focuses on quality outcomes, customer satisfaction, teamwork, and evidence-based practice within a Practice Governance framework. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, mentor/precept staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Contract pays $2429/week including housing stipend. Candidates must have 2 years of acute care RN experience, be comfortable independently reading telemetry strips, and hold current RN, BLS, and NIHSS credentials.

How You'll Contribute

  • Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and reassessments per policy; make sound independent clinical decisions

  • Develop, prioritize, implement, review, and revise individualized plans of care

  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams; utilize resources appropriately

  • Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions and adjust care accordingly

  • Facilitate, coordinate, provide, and evaluate education for patients and families during stay and at discharge

  • Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel; serve as mentor/preceptor and promote teamwork

  • Identify and communicate improvement opportunities; participate in quality, safety, and service process improvement

  • Comply with regulatory standards and participate in the Practice Governance model

  • Apply the caring processes of the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care to support patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction

    • Independently read and interpret telemetry strips

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Two (2) years of acute care RN experience (non-negotiable)
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) (required)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; no clinical hits
  • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications
  • Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
  • Experience supervising and delegating to licensed and unlicensed staff
  • Proven ability to apply evidence-based practice and document clinical care accurately
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills focused on patient- and family-centered care
  • Willingness to mentor/precept and engage in Practice Governance and process improvement
  • Travel readiness; prior successful travel contract preferred
  • Residence at least 75 miles from Louisville, KY
  • Ability to contribute to a financially stable unit and uphold quality, safety, and service standards
