MissionHires is looking for a compassionate Speech Therapist on behalf of a nonprofit home and community healthcare organization. This role delivers in-home speech and language therapy services, including assessment, treatment, education, care coordination, and discharge planning, to help clients improve or restore communication, feeding, oral-motor, and related functional skills.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Speech and Language Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of Maine.
Current CPR certification, with renewal required every two years.
At least one year of clinical speech therapy experience preferred.
Home health experience preferred.
Knowledge of standards of practice established by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Ability to assess, treat, document, and coordinate care for clients with speech, language, feeding, and oral-motor needs.
Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, private insurance, and other third-party reimbursement requirements.
Strong clinical judgment, case-management, communication, collaboration, organization, and time-management skills.
Reliable automobile, current Maine driver’s license, and proof of automobile insurance.
Ability to work safely in varied patient home environments, including environments with potential exposure to infectious diseases.
Independent malpractice insurance is strongly advised.
