MissionHires is partnering with a respected, family-oriented Specialty Mechanical Contractor to hire a field-first Safety Manager for commercial mechanical construction projects across Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Indiana. This visible, high-impact role spends ~70% in the field leading site safety, mentoring crews, driving compliance, and owning the safety program for ~150 field employees across HVAC, chillers, process piping, and Design-Build MEP projects in Healthcare, Education, Industrial, and Municipal sectors. The Safety Manager will advise executives, lead the Safety Committee, conduct investigations and training, and serve as the external liaison to regulators and emergency responders. Compensation is $90,000–$105,000 base plus 5–8% bonus, company truck, tools, comprehensive benefits, and no overnight travel.

About 70% is spent in the field visiting job sites to identify hazards, mentor crews, run audits, and stop unsafe work when needed.
It involves frequent regional driving across OH, IN, KY, but no overnight travel.
OSHA 500 or 501 and OSHA 510 (or 511) are required; CHST or CSP is preferred but not required.
Commercial mechanical projects across HVAC, chillers, process piping, and Design-Build MEP in Healthcare, Education, Industrial, and Municipal sectors.
Base is $90,000–$105,000 plus a 5–8% bonus, company truck with gas card, laptop, and comprehensive medical, dental, and retirement benefits.
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, on-site in the field with access to regional offices in Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus.
You’ll advise the executive team, lead the Safety Committee, and serve as the face of safety for about 150 field employees.
7+ years in commercial construction safety and 3+ years in a leadership role, with a stable career history.
