Maintenance Manager - Cork, Ireland

As Maintenance Manager at Trigon Hotels in Cork, you will lead the maintenance department to ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. You will oversee preventive maintenance, manage budgets, supervise staff, and support the hotel's mission of delivering exceptional hospitality through operational excellence.

• Lead and manage the maintenance department to ensure smooth hotel operations
• Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs
• Supervise and train maintenance staff, ensuring high standards of safety and performance
• Manage maintenance budgets and control costs
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance work
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and fire regulations
• Respond promptly to guest and operational maintenance requests
• Conduct regular inspections and address maintenance needs proactively
• Support hotel development and refurbishment projects

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• Keen eye for detail and ability to effectively interact with guests, other departments, and housekeeping staff.

• Flexibility, adaptability, and strong organisational skills

Desired but not essential:

• Trainer qualification

• Health & Safety qualification (e.g., First Aid, Manual Handling Instruction, Risk Assessor)

• 2-3 years’ experience in a 4-star hotel
