Why This Role Matters

MissionHires is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support EPC/CM/Program Management projects from pre-construction through closeout and warranty. You will lead day-to-day site operations, safety, quality, schedule, cost, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, documentation, and client relations while collaborating closely with engineering and field teams. This role drives planning, risk management, procurement, and commissioning/startup, ensuring projects meet scope, budget, schedule, and performance requirements.

How You'll Contribute

  • Promote, implement, and manage Safety & Health performance for project teams and subcontractors
  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities for single or multiple projects through completion and warranty
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and critical objective setting
  • Develop and manage client relationships; interface on proposals and project matters
  • Participate in internal/external risk reviews and consult with Legal as needed
  • Negotiate prime contracts, CM contracts, subcontracts, and change orders
  • Execute assigned portions of the Project Execution Plan (CQA, Safety & Health, Subcontracting, Staffing, Procurement)
  • Develop construction staffing plans; train and coordinate multi-discipline/global practice teams
  • Plan and oversee site layout, mobilization, and demobilization
  • Verify all required project permits are secured per requirements
  • Lead downstream RFP/bid processes and develop detailed scopes for subcontractor/client-contractor work
  • Review, approve, and communicate budgeting, cash flow, and project status reports to leadership and clients
  • Coordinate with engineering to align deliverables with schedule and requirements
  • Administer downstream contract processes: RFIs, submittals, change management, closeout, documentation, claims mitigation
  • Oversee prime/subcontractor/client contractor invoicing
  • Coordinate commissioning and startup with client, supplier, and internal teams
  • Implement and audit project documentation standards and controls
  • Confirm insurance, taxes/duties, licensure, and bonding compliance for project and subcontractors
  • Conduct safety, quality, progress, and financial audits/assessments
  • Manage non-conformance reporting and corrective actions
  • Lead cost reporting, scheduling, WBS setup, project setup/closeout, and field progress tracking
  • Develop and manage materials receiving/inventory/storage/transport processes
  • Review field reports to verify subcontractor compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and contract documents
  • Direct turnover documentation, warranty administration, closeout, and record retention
  • Support communication with governmental, industry, and public stakeholders
  • Mentor and train interns, coordinators, craft supervision, and assistant PMs; provide performance feedback
  • Manage community and building trades relationships; develop labor agreements as required
  • Onboard craft/field supervision; manage staffing, craft classifications, and progression records
  • Control labor burdens, benefits, and labor law compliance; uphold craft competency and training standards
  • Estimate, forecast, and manage craft install unit rates; manage earned value, schedule, change, and cost metrics
  • Oversee construction equipment inventory and availability
  • Travel or site assignment as required; comply with company policies and standards

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; 7+ years relevant construction project management experience (equivalent experience may substitute for degree)
  • Demonstrated experience managing EPC, Construction Management, Construction, or Program Management projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software (preferred)
  • Strong written/verbal communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and high work volumes in fast-paced environments
  • Multi-year field experience on construction sites or program execution in aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transportation, transmission & distribution, or water (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Valid driving record meeting company requirements
