Why This Role Matters

MissionHires is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead day-to-day execution of aviation-focused EPC/CM projects in Atlanta, GA. You will own field operations from pre-construction through closeout and warranty, driving safety, quality, schedule, cost, contracts, and stakeholder management while mentoring teams and strengthening client relationships. Salary: $120k–$160k. Travel: up to 100%.

How You'll Contribute

  • Champion and enforce company Safety & Health programs for project teams and subcontractors
  • Oversee daily construction activities and execution across single or multiple projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Lead planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and define critical project objectives
  • Build and manage client relationships; serve as primary interface for proposals and project matters
  • Participate in internal/external risk reviews; coordinate with Legal as needed
  • Negotiate prime/CM contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and support risk review processes
  • Implement assigned sections of the Project Execution Plan (construction execution, QA, safety & health, subcontracting, staffing/org chart, procurement)
  • Develop construction staffing plans; train and coordinate multi-discipline/global practice teams for cost-effective resource use
  • Plan and oversee site layout, mobilization/demobilization; ensure permits are secured per requirements
  • Direct downstream RFP/bid processes; prepare scopes of work; manage bidder development, prequalification, evaluation, award, and selection
  • Review/approve internal and external reporting (budgets, cash flow, status); present to PM/Program Manager and executive stakeholders
  • Collaborate with engineering to align deliverables with schedule and project needs
  • Manage downstream contract administration (RFIs, submittals, change management, closeout, documentation, claims mitigation)
  • Oversee invoicing for prime contracts, subcontractors, and client contractors
  • Coordinate commissioning and startup with client, supplier, and internal teams
  • Implement, audit, and oversee project documentation controls
  • Verify and manage project/subcontractor insurance, taxes/duties, licensure, and bonding
  • Conduct safety, quality, progress, and financial audits and non-conformance reporting
  • Lead project cost reporting, scheduling, WBS setup, project setup/closeout, and field progress tracking
  • Manage materials receiving and control: inventory, receipt, storage, and logistics
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with contracts, safety, quality, and schedule; review construction field reports
  • Direct turnover documentation, warranty administration, closeout, and record retention
  • Engage with governmental, industry, and public entities on project matters
  • Mentor interns, coordinators, craft supervision, and assistant PMs; provide performance feedback
  • Manage community/trades relationships; develop and implement project labor agreements
  • Oversee craft/field supervision onboarding; manage staffing and composite crew rates
  • Administer labor burdens, benefits, classifications, and progression; uphold competency/training standards
  • Estimate, forecast, and manage craft install unit rates; track earned value, schedule, change, and cost metrics
  • Manage construction equipment inventory and utilization to meet project needs
  • Comply with company policies and standards; perform additional duties as assigned
  • Work on project sites as required

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of relevant construction project management experience (equivalent experience may substitute for degree)
  • Demonstrated experience managing EPC, CM, Construction, or Program Management projects from pre-con to closeout, preferably in aviation and/or related industries (commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transportation, T&D, water)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time
