This role is critical in driving new business development while also managing a portfolio of existing accounts. The Territory Sales Representative builds long-term relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and food packaging clients across the GTA and surrounding areas. Success in this role ensures company growth in packaging solutions, distribution, and value-added services.
Focus on new business development while managing existing accounts.
Prospect and build your own pipeline (100% cold calling, door knocking, field prospecting).
Spend 50–60% of time with clients, with 3–4 office days per week for quoting, samples, and collaboration.
Manage sales cycle (1–4 weeks) from prospecting through closing.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with purchasing managers, VPs, and directors.
Sell packaging solutions: corrugated packaging, foam, labels, thermoforming, flexible food films, jan-san supplies, chemicals, and value-added services (co-packing, fulfillment, printing, automation).
Handle accounts averaging $25K annually and orders around $500.
Track sales activity, prepare quotes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
5+ years of sales experience (outside sales strongly preferred).
Proven success in new business development and account management.
Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or distribution industries required.
Background in food manufacturing or distribution sales is an asset.
Industrial or office supplies sales experience will also be considered.
Strong communication, cold-calling, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (basic level).
Salary: Base $75,000–$90,000 CAD + uncapped commission (% of gross profit, paid monthly).
First Year OTE: $120,000–$130,000 CAD
