About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technician with strong knowledge of cardiovascular and open-heart surgical procedures. This role supports a high-performing surgical team in a hospital setting, focusing on complex cardiovascular operations. You'll be joining a collaborative, patient-centered team committed to delivering exceptional care.

The position is onsite with shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, covering various days of the week depending on scheduling needs.

How You'll Contribute

  • Scrub role during open-heart and cardiovascular procedures.
  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor sterile fields and surgical instruments.
  • Collaborate with circulators, surgeons, and other OR personnel.
  • Support room turnover and supply restocking.
  • Follow aseptic technique and patient safety protocols throughout surgical procedures.
  • Participate in case planning and briefings, including time-outs and surgical safety checklists.
  • Assist with equipment setup, reprocessing, and sterile core responsibilities.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Surgical Technologist Certificate, Required at time of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in cardiovascular or open-heart surgery.
  • Strong knowledge of sterile field setup, operating room instrumentation, and intraoperative patient care.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of scrubbing experience in an inpatient or ambulatory OR setting.
  • Experience supporting complex cardiac surgeries.
  • Ability to manage sterile core duties and surgical case preparation.
  • Skilled in teamwork, communication, and anticipating surgical team needs.
