The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as an extension of the internal Talent Acquisition team for multiple client organizations across a variety of industries and functions. The role manages full-cycle talent acquisition while developing a strong understanding of each client’s business, culture, people, and hiring objectives. The Talent Acquisition Specialist develops and executes recruiting strategies, evaluates talent, and supports effective and consistent hiring decisions.

Beyond individual searches, the Talent Acquisition Specialist contributes to the overall effectiveness of the client’s talent acquisition function, including recruiting processes, practices, tools, and talent market insight. The role independently manages assigned priorities while collaborating with Griffin team members and leveraging broader team expertise and resources as needed.

Starting pay: $30-33/hour 

Location: Remote from Florida, Georgia or South Carolina 

Hours: This position is expected to be part-time in the long term. The typical average is 10-20 hours per week, with fluctuations based on project demand. There is a potential for increased hours as project demand grows over time

How You'll Contribute
  • Serves as an extension of the client's internal Talent Acquisition team, developing a strong understanding of the organization, its people, business objectives, culture, and evolving hiring needs.

  • Leads full-cycle Talent Acquisition for assigned clients and business areas, from understanding the business need and defining the role through sourcing, assessment, interview coordination, selection, and offer.

  • Partners with business leaders and hiring managers to establish clear hiring criteria, develop effective job descriptions, and align on the experience, capabilities, and characteristics needed for success in the role.

  • Brings a thoughtful, structured approach to recruiting, ensuring searches are grounded in clear processes, established best practices, and consistent evaluation criteria rather than simply generating applicants.

  • Develops and executes sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, professional networks, referrals, industry relationships, and other channels appropriate to the role and talent market.

  • Screens and evaluates candidates against established criteria, providing hiring leaders with clear, objective feedback and relevant market insight to support informed hiring decisions.

  • Facilitates and strengthens the interview and selection process, helping hiring teams create an effective candidate experience while maintaining consistency, efficiency, and alignment throughout the process.

  • Serves as a resource to hiring managers throughout the hiring process, providing guidance on interviewing, candidate evaluation, compensation considerations, communication, and effective hiring practices.

  • Monitors recruiting activity and hiring outcomes, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the client's overall Talent Acquisition approach.

  • Builds subject matter expertise within assigned client organizations, developing an understanding of their teams, roles, talent landscape, organizational priorities, and competitive market.

  • Helps clients establish and continuously improve recruiting processes, practices, tools, and standards, including participation in ATS evaluation, optimization, implementation, reporting, and ongoing process improvement.

  • Contributes to the client's employer brand and candidate experience, ensuring job postings, candidate communications, recruiting materials, and interactions accurately reflect the organization and its employee experience.

  • Maintains strong, proactive communication with hiring leaders, candidates, HR partners, and internal team members, ensuring stakeholders have the information and support needed to move hiring initiatives forward.

  • Maintains accurate and timely recruiting documentation within Griffin and client systems, including interview notes, candidate activity, search information, and other Talent Acquisition records.

  • Provides career transition support to employees navigating career changes, including job search coaching and guidance when applicable.

  • Participates in internal Griffin Talent Acquisition initiatives, contributing to the development of recruiting practices, resources, processes, and shared expertise across the team.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality with respect to candidate, employee, client, and business information.

  • Adapts to evolving client and organizational needs, taking ownership of priorities and contributing to the success of both the client and Griffin team.

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • 5+ years of corporate recruiting experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 

  • Strong technology proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS and applicant tracking systems, collaboration and communication tools, online recruiting platforms, and other business applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.

  • Hands-on experience managing full-cycle recruiting, including intake, position definition, sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessment, selection, offer, and candidate experience.

  • Strong knowledge of recruiting best practices and process, with an interest in building consistent, effective, and scalable approaches to Talent Acquisition.

  • Proficiency in sourcing strategies and tools, including LinkedIn, resume databases, professional networks, social media, referrals, and other creative sourcing channels.

  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems, HRIS platforms, recruiting technology, and reporting tools, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.

  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and business leaders, with the ability to build credibility, ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and influence hiring decisions.

  • Strong business acumen and organizational awareness, with the ability to understand how a role, team, and hiring decision fit within the broader needs and objectives of an organization.Strong consultative communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives, hiring managers, HR professionals, candidates, and internal team members.

  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess recruiting challenges, identify root causes, recommend practical solutions, and adjust strategies based on market conditions and results.

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, balancing competing client needs, recruiting activity, deadlines, and ongoing projects without losing attention to detail.

  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently, while also knowing when to collaborate, escalate an issue, or seek additional perspective.

  • Strong ownership and accountability, with a commitment to following through on commitments and proactively communicating progress, challenges, and changes.

  • Adaptable and comfortable working across different organizations, industries, cultures, and leadership styles, with the ability to quickly learn a client's business and become an effective extension of their team.
