Structural Engineer, PE -Wood Frame Design.

MissionHires is partnering with a leading structural engineering design firm to hire a Structural Engineer (PE/SE) with multifamily wood-frame building experience. This is a full-time, direct-hire role that can be fully remote, supporting projects headquartered out of Indianapolis, IN. Ideal candidates bring 3–10+ years of building design experience, are self-starters ready to take on responsibility, and hold an EIT/PE/SE with strong multifamily wood framing expertise.

• Lead and perform structural design for multifamily wood-framed buildings
• Develop calculations, analysis, and design documentation in accordance with applicable building codes
• Coordinate with architects, MEP, and project stakeholders to deliver cohesive design solutions
• Review drawings, details, and specifications; provide redlines and quality control
• Support project planning, schedules, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects
• Contribute to design narratives, technical reports, and permit packages
• Engage in problem-solving during design and construction phases
• Optionally utilize Revit for drawing/model coordination (nice to have)
• Take ownership of tasks as a self-starter and proactively assume increasing responsibility

• BS in Civil Engineering required; MS in Structural Engineering is a strong plus

• 3–10+ years of structural building design experience (multifamily focus preferred)

• Demonstrated experience designing multifamily wood-framed buildings (required)

• Active EIT/PE/SE certification (required; PE or SE preferred)

• Proficiency with structural analysis/design methods and relevant codes for wood design

• Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and take on responsibility (required)

• Revit drawing/modeling skills are a plus (not required)

• Ability to work fully remote while meeting project deadlines and quality standards
