MissionHires is seeking a Senior Account Executive (Software Sales – Public Sector) to drive adoption of an industry-leading data and analytics platform across state and local government. You will own the full sales lifecycle—prospecting through close and expansion—partner with channels and ecosystem stakeholders, and consistently deliver revenue against growth goals across a large regional territory.

How You'll Contribute

  • Develop and maintain a strong regional opportunity pipeline across state and local government accounts
  • Own the full sales lifecycle from initial outreach, discovery, evaluation, and negotiation through close
  • Drive consistent revenue attainment aligned with growth and quota objectives
  • Acquire net-new public sector customers while expanding relationships within existing accounts
  • Partner with channel and ecosystem stakeholders to advance, co-sell, and close opportunities
  • Align complex customer needs with data, integration, governance, and analytics solutions
  • Lead complex deal strategy, pricing, and contract negotiations for high-value opportunities
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful customer outcomes and long-term satisfaction
  • Represent the organization at targeted public sector and industry events to build pipeline and brand awareness
  • Maintain accurate territory planning, forecasting, and pipeline hygiene across direct and partner motions

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 7+ years of enterprise software sales experience within state and local government (SLED)
  • Demonstrated success selling data, analytics, or integration platforms into public sector environments
  • Proven track record closing complex, high-value deals and exceeding quota
  • Strong territory planning, forecasting, and pipeline execution skills across direct and partner channels
  • Established relationships within public sector agencies and partner ecosystems
  • Ability to lead multi-stakeholder evaluations and align solutions to complex technical and business needs
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and executive presence skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Willingness to travel as needed
