How You'll Contribute

  • Provide direct instruction and specialized academic support to students with disabilities in accordance with IEP goals
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs and ensure access to the general education curriculum
  • Collect, analyze, and report student progress data; adjust instruction based on data
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to deliver inclusive services
  • Manage classroom routines and behavior supports using evidence-based practices
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and supports
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies, including documentation and timelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and culturally responsive learning environment

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Active Colorado Special Education teaching license (required)
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Brighton, CO (required)
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance with IDEA and Colorado regulations
  • Skills in differentiating instruction and using accommodations/modifications for diverse learners
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Classroom management skills and experience with positive behavior supports
  • Data-driven instructional practice, including progress monitoring and documentation
  • Proficiency with educational technology and special education documentation systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s preferred but not required
  • New graduates accepted; relevant student teaching or practicum experience considered
