AI Staff Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to drive technical excellence and innovation across our platform, with a focus on using AI to transform how global talent connects with opportunities.
You will tackle complex technical challenges across the entire system—from AI-powered matching algorithms to scalable marketplace infrastructure—and play a key role in advancing the platform’s architecture and mentoring other engineers.

Technical Leadership

• Drive architectural decisions and set technical strategy for major platform initiatives

• Design and implement core platform capabilities that power AI-driven talent matching

• Lead system evolution for scalability, performance, and AI integration

• Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence across teams

• Collaborate with product teams to align ambitious goals with technical solutions

System Design & Implementation

• Architect and build scalable systems that support complex marketplace operations

• Design and implement AI features to improve talent evaluation and matching

• Develop robust, maintainable solutions that scale globally

• Establish technical standards and best practices for system reliability

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with product managers to define and execute technical strategies

• Work with data scientists to implement and optimize AI/ML models

• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with data privacy laws

• Provide technical guidance across multiple teams and projects

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience

• 10 years of experience with Ruby on Rails and React (required)

• Python experience (strongly preferred)

• 3+ years of technical leadership experience managing complex projects

• Solid foundation in distributed systems and scalable architectures

• Proven experience building and scaling marketplace platforms or similar complex systems

• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and drive technical excellence

• Strong understanding of AI concepts and practical applications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience with AI/ML platform development

• Background in talent matching algorithms or recommendation systems

• Experience with large-scale data processing and analytics

• Knowledge of global compliance and data privacy regulations

• Experience working with distributed, remote teams

• Must be U.S.-based

• Experience publishing technical content or speaking at conferences is a plus
