A leading construction and energy solutions firm is hiring a Senior Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial solar initiatives, including battery storage installations. This role covers full project life cycles, from pre-construction through commissioning, ensuring delivery that is timely, cost-effective, and compliant with industry standards. How You'll Contribute

What You'll Do:

  • Direct and manage multiple solar and battery energy projects at different stages (new builds, upgrades, expansions)
  • Coordinate between internal engineering teams, field leadership, and external stakeholders
  • Supervise site leadership including superintendents and foremen
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, developers, general contractors, and local authorities
  • Control project cost tracking, timelines, RFIs, change orders, and documentation
  • Ensure adherence to NEC, utility interconnection rules, and quality protocols
  • Provide weekly project reports to executives and clients

What Makes You a Great Fit

Must-Have Requirements

  • 5–10 years of project management experience in commercial or industrial construction
  • 5+ years of experience in the electrical field, preferably within electrical contracting
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in solar energy projects (required)
  • Experience working with high-voltage systems and utility interconnects
  • 2–5 years of field experience supporting construction or electrical projects
  • Strong working knowledge of project management tools such as Procore, MS Project (or similar), and intermediate to advanced Excel
  • Proven leadership, decision-making, and team coordination skills
  • Ability to be based in Houston and travel to project sites as required

Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • 1–5 years of site superintendent / site supervision experience
  • 1–5 years of experience with large-scale battery installation projects
  • Journeyman Electrical License (preferred, not required)
  • Experience managing utility-scale or complex renewable energy projects
  • Exposure to cross-functional coordination with utilities, inspectors, and EPC partners
