How You'll Contribute

  • Lead the modification of existing equipment to support automation and ongoing process improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure successful implementation of electrical systems and upgrades.
  • Design and manage electrical control systems, including safety hardware and communication networks.
  • Provide clear technical requirements and support to external equipment suppliers and contractors.
  • Oversee capital and expense budgets aligned with operational goals.
  • Support and guide contractors and maintenance teams throughout project execution.
  • Troubleshoot, program, and optimize control systems, particularly Allen Bradley PLCs and drive systems.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Allen Bradley PLCs (remote IO, HMI, Rockwell software).
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and programming PLCs and industrial control systems.
  • Strong understanding of machine safety, including arc flash (NFPA 70E), risk assessments, and component selection.
  • Familiarity with industrial ethernet and network layouts for machinery.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and budgets effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate with both internal stakeholders and outside vendors.
  • Self-starter mentality with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing contractors or maintenance technicians.
  • Background in manufacturing or industrial production environments.
  • Exposure to Allen Bradley variable frequency and servo drive programming.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
