MissionHires is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Atlanta office with 10–15 years of consulting engineering and project management experience. This role is ideal for a self-motivated team player who can lead multidisciplinary design efforts, manage multiple concurrent projects, support business development, and mentor a growing team. You will work directly with clients, architects, and contractors to design and specify electrical systems across industrial, higher education, healthcare, federal, and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

How You'll Contribute

  • Design electrical systems and specifications across multiple project types
  • Lead design team efforts and mentor engineering staff
  • Manage and design multiple concurrent projects with budget and schedule control
  • Develop fee and qualification-based technical proposals
  • Collaborate closely with business development and discipline leads for pursuits
  • Consult directly with clients, architects, owners, and general contractors
  • Interpret and review technical drawings and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with electrical/energy codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, etc.)
  • Use SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software for analysis and studies
  • Coordinate with multidiscipline teams in a collaborative office environment
  • Conduct marketing and business development activities
  • Contribute positively to office goals, culture, and morale
  • Travel as needed to client sites and meetings

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (required)
  • 10–15 years of electrical engineering experience in consulting and project management
  • Demonstrated experience in power-focused design for industrial, higher education, healthcare, federal, and/or commercial projects
  • Proficiency with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical system modeling software
  • Familiarity with electrical/energy codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, etc.)
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Proven project management experience and/or certifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Desire and ability to lead interdisciplinary projects and teams
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Preferred: Experience with lighting design
  • Preferred: Experience with Telecom, A/V, Cybersecurity, and security systems design
  • Preferred: Local AHJ experience and relationships
  • Preferred: Active local industry involvement
