Senior Clinical Coding Auditor & Trainer - Remote

The position requires minimal travel—just two trips annually to New York City.

As a Senior Clinical Coding Auditor & Trainer, you'll lead initiatives in auditing, education, and process improvement within a managed care setting. You will design and deliver training programs, develop audit tools, and evaluate staff performance in compliance with coding regulations and medical necessity standards. This role helps drive clinical integrity and documentation accuracy across inpatient settings.

• Design and implement audit processes and tools for inpatient coding.
• Conduct staff audits and provide constructive feedback to enhance accuracy.
• Lead and evaluate training programs for new hires and current staff.
• Assess training needs and develop relevant instructional materials.
• Ensure alignment with organizational guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Maintain documentation of employee progress and training outcomes.
• Support revisions to internal policies and workflows.
• Conduct coding audits with attention to compliance and quality.
• Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related clinical field (or equivalent experience).
• Active state nursing license (any U.S. state is acceptable).
• 4+ years of experience in nursing, auditing, or training within managed care.
• At least 1 year of inpatient clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Inpatient Coding Certification (CPC, CIC, or CCS).
• Strong written communication skills.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience is a plus.
