Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Civil / Environmental Project Manager (PE) to serve as Engineer of Record, Project Manager, and Client Lead on a diverse portfolio of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects throughout Southwest and West-Central Florida.
This is a senior-level role designed for a well-rounded Florida PE, who has experience across planning, feasibility, design, permitting, and construction support. The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary project teams, interface directly with municipal and utility clients.
Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) and Project Manager on water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.
Lead projects from planning, feasibility studies, and pilot studies through design, permitting, and construction support.
Manage and coordinate internal project teams, including project engineers, CAD designers, and technical staff.
Oversee engineering calculations, technical reports, construction drawings, specifications, and permit applications.
Provide quality control and technical direction for AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, without serving as a day-to-day production CAD resource.
Manage project budgets, schedules, scopes of work, and fee proposals.
Interface directly with municipal and utility clients, regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and vendors.
Participate in and eventually lead client management, including proposal development, scope definition, and fee negotiation.
Support business development efforts by identifying client needs and helping convert opportunities into awarded work.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
Support field activities including site visits, pilot testing, construction observation, and stakeholder outreach as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida
8–15 years years of civil/environmental engineering experience
U.S. work authorization (U.S. Citizen or Green Card; no sponsorship).
Broad technical background across water, wastewater, and stormwater systems (planning + design), not solely niche modeling or master planning.
Experience relevant to Florida or similar regulatory/climate environments
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling tools, sufficient to direct and review technical work.
Strong client management and project management capability (ability to own clients, write proposals/scopes/fees, and represent the firm independently).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
Prior experience working with Florida municipalities, counties, or utilities.
Experience in asset management, CMOM programs, or “smart utility” initiatives.
