MissionHires is partnering with a top nationwide SBA lender (HQ: Salt Lake City, UT) to hire an experienced SBA Loans Business Development Officer. In this quota-carrying role, you will originate SBA 7(a), 504, USDA B&I, equipment leasing, ABL, CRE, and construction loans nationwide; build and manage broker and small business owner relationships; drive end-to-end deal flow from lead generation through underwriting presentation and funding; and consistently achieve $20MM+ in annual production. This role is remote-friendly within the U.S. and may be based in a preferred national location.

How You'll Contribute

  • Originate SBA 7(a), SBA 504, USDA B&I, express, equipment leasing, ABL, CRE, and construction loans for small businesses nationwide
  • Develop, cultivate, and expand relationships with small business owners, brokers, COIs, and referral partners
  • Leverage networking, referrals, and targeted outreach to generate qualified leads and applications
  • Drive market penetration and coverage in assigned geographies and sectors
  • Articulate and demonstrate the bank’s entrepreneurial lending philosophy and nationwide capability
  • Partner with Chief Business Development Officer and Marketing to craft and execute go-to-market and sales strategies
  • Package deals: collect documentation, develop completed financing applications, and submit to underwriting
  • Present loan credits to Credit Committee, recognize target market credit opportunities, and propose funding solutions
  • Secure customer-signed commitments post-approval and coordinate funding with Operations
  • Actively utilize Salesforce and other origination systems to manage pipeline, activities, and reporting
  • Consistently achieve and exceed annual production goals

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of financial services sales experience with strong, hands-on SBA lending background
  • Documented annual SBA/CRE/ABL production of $20MM+ for the last three years
  • Proven track record serving small business owners and expanding books of business
  • Marketing and risk management experience related to commercial lending
  • Strong credit skills with working knowledge of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and loan structuring
  • In-depth understanding of SBA lending (7(a), 504) and related program guidelines
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated B2B new-business development and relationship management skills
  • Active referral network preferred
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and loan origination/supporting systems
  • Ability to work nationally; role may be based in a preferred U.S. location
