This newly created, direct-hire role supports an 800-employee site within a 5-person EHS team, reporting to the Plant EHS Manager. The Safety Specialist will drive proactive safety initiatives, coach supervisors, conduct incident investigations with root-cause analysis, and deliver behavioral and human performance safety training. Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, or related technical field from an accredited institution
At least 1–2 years of plant safety experience within heavy/industrial manufacturing operations
Experience conducting incident investigations with root-cause analysis and making actionable recommendations
Exposure to behavioral/human performance safety concepts and training
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with production supervisors and frontline employees
Proactive, prevention-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and follow-through
Strong communication and training delivery skills
