We are seeking a Sous Chef who is not only a strong leader but also a hands-on team player who can effectively manage the line and step into any role as needed to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly
Lead team in daily operations — from prep to plating.
Lead shifts to ensure consistency, timeliness, and quality across all menu items.
Jump in wherever needed — line cooking, prep, expo, ordering, or training — to support the team and ensure smooth service.
Help oversee daily prep lists, production schedules, and inventory controls.
Maintain rigorous standards for food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.
Mentor, train, and motivate cooks and prep staff, setting a positive, professional example.
Assist with creative input for menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings.
Support cost control by monitoring waste, managing labor effectively, and protecting margins.
Serve as acting kitchen lead when the Executive Chef is off-site.
A minimum of 2 years as a Sous Chef or Lead Line Cook in a very busy, scratch kitchen.
Strong cooking skills across stations; comfortable jumping on the line during service.
Proven ability to lead by example and foster a supportive, respectful kitchen culture.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexible and adaptable — thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen equipment; ServSafe preferred.
