Restaurant Shift Manager - Jamaica, New York

Restaurant Shift Manager responsible for supervising and supporting crew during assigned shifts, overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring food safety and quality, managing costs and cash handling, training staff, resolving customer issues, and assisting in achieving sales and profitability goals. This is a full-time role with a 40 hour work week and benefits including medical, dental, vision, tuition assistance, 401K, and sick pay.

Restaurant Shift Manager responsibilities include:

• Supervise, motivate, and support crew members during assigned shifts.
• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cleanliness, and
  customer service.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
• Monitor labor, food, and paper costs during shifts to control expenses.
• Manage cash handling, deposits, and shift accountability.
• Train and develop crew members, providing coaching and feedback.
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and local/state regulations.
• Maintain a safe and secure working environment for all employees and customers.
• Assist in achieving sales goals and profitability

Restaurant Shift Manager candidates must possess:

• A minimum of two years of restaurant supervisory or management experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Basic math and computer skills (cash handling, scheduling, reports).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
