The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager with hiring, training, performance management, and discipline. They foster a positive team culture, ensure compliance with standards and training, and help reduce turnover. This role promotes team well-being, drives customer satisfaction, maintains food safety, and supports shop profitability. The AGM leads team meetings, enforces company policies, and ensures smooth daily operations with a focus on delivering excellent service.

How You'll Contribute

  • Support GM with hiring, training, and performance management.

  • Champion team happiness by modeling the company's values, culture, and leadership principles.

  • Oversee compliance and in-house training, ensuring standards and reviews are completed on time.

  • Conduct regular reviews to develop staff, reduce turnover, and address performance issues.

  • Promote team well-being and follow up on employee engagement survey actions.

  • Deliver consistent customer service excellence.

  • Ensure high food and beverage quality through production standards, freshness checks, and training.

  • Maintain Food Safety and Health & Safety standards.

  • Monitor restaurant performance and react with clear action plans.

  • Control stock and financial standards, minimize waste, and review reports to optimize daily sales.

  • Leverage merchandising, marketing, catering, and digital platforms to grow revenue.

  • Lead team briefs and staff meetings, encouraging two-way communication and best practice sharing.

  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations while safeguarding business integrity.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • A minimum of 2-5 years’ proven success in operations, customer service, and team management

  • High volume experience of $2.5-$4 million

  • Fast casual (QSR) and/or casual dining experience preferred

  • Confident using tools and data to drive results

  • Inspire and motivate teams to deliver their best every day

  • Thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments

  • Passionate about creating amazing customer experiences and building loyalty

  • Coach, mentor, and bring out the best in people
