Why This Role Matters

Patrice & Associates is seeking a hands-on, hospitality-driven Restaurant Assistant General Manager to support daily FOH operations, lead by example on the floor, coach staff, and partner with the GM to deliver exceptional guest experiences while optimizing labor, costs, and operational standards.

How You'll Contribute

  • Partner with the General Manager to oversee all front-of-house operations for smooth, efficient service
  • Lead by example on the floor: greet guests, run food and drinks, bus tables, and assist behind the bar as needed
  • Supervise, train, coach, and provide feedback to FOH staff
  • Maintain a strong guest-first focus; address concerns promptly and resolve issues to create memorable experiences
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll management, labor efficiency, and daily shift planning
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless FOH/BOH communication and coordination
  • Uphold cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety protocols
  • Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and help control costs
  • Contribute to staff recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies
  • Utilize POS systems and basic reporting to support data-driven decisions and operational improvements

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience (AGM, FOH Manager, or equivalent) in a full-service, high-volume environment
  • Hands-on leadership style with willingness to step into any role to support the team
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Proven guest service abilities with professional de-escalation skills
  • Organizational proficiency with scheduling, payroll, and inventory management
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the leadership team
  • Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and basic financial reporting
  • Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence
  • Adaptability, quick decision-making under pressure, and team collaboration
