About the Opportunity:
A behavioral health facility in Central New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their psychiatry units on a per diem, day-shift basis. This opportunity is perfect for a nurse looking to gain specialized experience in a mental health setting with minimal commitment (only 4 hours per week and one weekend per month required).
You'll play a key role in delivering direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team, working with a diverse patient population. The position also involves oversight of other healthcare staff, providing delegation, evaluation, and coordination to ensure high standards of care.
Shift Details:

• Schedule: 6:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
• Shift Differentials: Up to $10.00/hr for weekend/night shifts
• Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month
• Holiday Coverage: As needed

• Provide direct patient care in a psychiatric setting
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Supervise and delegate tasks to supporting caregivers
• Coordinate care and ensure continuity across shifts and departments

• Valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license
• AHA BLS/CPR certification (required within 60 days of hire)
• Actively enrolled in or willing to pursue a BSN within 3 years of hire (for hires after Nov 2019)
• At least 6 months of relevant nursing experience, or active participation in a Nurse Residency Program
