  • Design, analyze, simulate, and verify complex analog and digital circuits for demanding and harsh-environment applications.
  • Develop electronic architectures incorporating A/D conversion, processors, microcontrollers, I/O, and communications interfaces.
  • Design and analyze power-electronics solutions using MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, and GaN technologies.
  • Develop and optimize DC/DC converter architectures for demanding applications.
  • Perform thermal, electrical-stress, worst-case, tolerance, aging, FMEA, EMI, and radiation analyses.
  • Design high-power, high-voltage, and EMI-conscious PCB/PWB layouts.
  • Apply control theory and digital-control techniques to motor-control and power-control systems.
  • Develop sensor interfaces for LVDTs, resolvers, encoders, and related devices.
  • Develop and evaluate communication interfaces including CAN, RS-232/422/485, SPI, JTAG, PCI/PCIe, and 1G/10G Ethernet.
  • Create clear engineering requirements, specifications, design documentation, and technical-review presentations.
  • Evaluate design tradeoffs involving performance, cost, schedule, reliability, manufacturability, and technical risk.
  • Support prototype development, qualification activities, manufacturing, suppliers, and production through hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for complex hardware problems.
  • Support legacy products while identifying design improvements and product-enhancement opportunities.
  • Guide engineers and contribute to technical direction, engineering standards, and design methodologies.
