Why This Role Matters

The Plant Manager (PM) will oversee the company’s production facilities in Veracruz, Mexico and ensure the highest standards of operational excellence. This role is responsible for guaranteeing product quality, adherence to production plans, and alignment with corporate goals. The PM will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage plant performance, and coordinate with U.S.-based teams to execute strategies that enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive experience in manufacturing management—preferably in the automotive or metal-mechanical industries—who thrives in dynamic environments and is comfortable working across international teams.

How You'll Contribute

  • 🔧Oversee and manage daily manufacturing operations in Veracruz, Mexico.

  • Execute strategic, financial, and operational plans to achieve company objectives.

  • Provide leadership across all organizational levels and departments.

  • Communicate and uphold the vision, mission, and values of the parent company.

  • Implement corporate-driven policies, procedures, and performance standards.

  • Collaborate with the U.S. Operations team to develop and implement advanced manufacturing processes that optimize efficiency and minimize waste, including equipment transfers and new project rollouts.

  • Evaluate departmental and overall plant performance; develop and execute continuous improvement plans.
    Partner with the U.S. Finance team to develop budgets for materials, labor, overhead, and capital investments; oversee infrastructure planning and execution.

  • Manage the subsidiary’s Profit & Loss (P&L) performance.

  • Collaborate with the U.S. Sales team to build and strengthen relationships with key customers.

  • Partner with the U.S. Supply Chain team to secure materials and ensure production aligns with customer delivery and inventory commitments.

  • Work closely with U.S. Engineering to ensure technical compliance, product quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate plant personnel to maintain a high-performing and motivated workforce.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 10+ years of senior management experience in a comparable leadership role.

  • Experience in automotive, metal-mechanical, or manufacturing industries (automotive preferred).

  • Strong understanding of regulatory, fiscal, and export manufacturing certifications, international import/export regulations, and financial performance metrics (KPIs).

  • Knowledge of tariff structures and trade changes between the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

  • Solid expertise in logistics and production planning.

  • Proven ability to improve production quality, reduce defects, and control costs.

  • Experience managing relationships with international suppliers for machinery and spare parts.

  • Strong leadership, planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.

  • Solid financial acumen—including budgeting, analysis, reporting, and cost control.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (Spanish and English) required.

  • Skilled in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.

  • Expertise in manufacturing performance management, quality assurance, and technical operations.

  • Demonstrated strength in delegation, teamwork, and coaching.

  • Effective and adaptable management style—able to balance administrative duties with a strong presence on the production floor.

  • Disciplined, dynamic, and results-oriented, with exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Experience acting as a legal representative of a company.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

  • 🛂 Must possess a valid passport and visa.

🎓 Education and Additional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar senior leadership position.

  • Experience in a family-owned business or startup environment preferred.

  • Food Vouchers:

    5,000 MXN ÷ 18 ≈ $280 USD per year

  • Christmas Bonus:

    Equivalent to 30 days’ salary = 1 month = about $8,333 USD
