The People Success Manager plays a critical role in supporting a fast-paced, high-volume distribution center with 850–900 employees (up to ~1,400 during peak season). This role ensures the DC has the talent, engagement, training, and HR support needed to operate efficiently across four shifts. As a strategic partner to operations and leadership, this person drives staffing, development, employee relations, compliance, and cultural alignment—directly influencing performance, retention, and overall operational success.
Partner with Senior Operations Managers to drive staffing, talent development, engagement, and HR initiatives.
Oversee full-cycle recruiting for non-exempt roles and collaborate with corporate Talent Acquisition for exempt hiring.
Lead onboarding, training, and leadership development programs across all shifts.
Manage staffing agency relationships and ensure temporary workforce efficiency.
Support succession planning, talent reviews, and staffing plans with DC leadership.
Analyze HR metrics to identify trends, mitigate risks, and support operational goals.
Advise leaders on employee relations, policy compliance, conflict resolution, and performance issues.
Oversee leave management and coordinate with benefits, open enrollment, and employee support.
Conduct exit interviews and recommend strategies to reduce turnover.
Promote company culture, employee engagement, and communication across the DC.
Support special projects and organizational initiatives as needed.
Ensure visibility across all four shifts and participate in monthly associate activities.
Collaborate with third-party agencies, operations, and leadership to deliver HR excellence.
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (or equivalent HR experience).
Experience working in distribution, manufacturing, retail, or high-volume operational environments.
Strong understanding of HR operations, staffing, employee relations, and compliance.
Knowledge of California employment law strongly preferred (or ability to learn quickly).
High degree of organization, urgency, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to simplify complex information.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn HR systems (SuccessFactors/ServiceNow, UKG, iCIMS).
Ability to adjust schedule based on business needs, including rotational Fridays, early/late shifts, and occasional weekends (especially during peak season).
Ability to attend off-site job fairs.
Experience supporting large workforces (850–1,400 employees) preferred.
Not a task-only HR practitioner—must operate strategically, flexibly, and hands-on.
Team player with the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
Salary: $100,000–$105,000 per year
