Outpatient Neurologist - Dothan, Alabama

A 420-bed regional referral and Level II trauma center in Dothan, AL, is seeking a hospital-employed Outpatient Neurologist to join its Neurospine Center. The physician will see patients in a hospital-based NeuroSciences outpatient clinic located on campus with neurotesting available in the hospital. This is an outpatient position with day shift hours and no call, weekends, or holidays required.

• See patients in the hospital-based NeuroSciences outpatient clinic on campus
• Work collaboratively with Neurosurgeons, Interventional Neuradiologists, Radiation Oncologists, physical medicine, and rehabilitation specialists to provide a multidisciplinary approach to comprehensive care
• Participate with Neurointerventionalists and Neurohospitalists as part of the Neuroscience team
• Support stroke teleneurology services
• Engage with the Neuromuscular Rehab & Balance Center as appropriate
• Opportunity to precept residents and medical students
• Outpatient-only practice — no call required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Board certified or board eligible in Neurology
• Active Alabama medical license with no restrictions (MD/DO)
• DEA certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post-graduate training or experience in EMG/NCV
• Sub-certification in EMG/NCV
