The Medical Assistant plays a vital, multi-functional role by supporting clinical procedures, managing front desk tasks, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. This position includes assisting providers during patient care, coordinating patient flow, collecting payments, and delivering financial documents as directed by the financial team—all while upholding a calm and compassionate environment.
Greet and check in patients; manage front desk and patient flow throughout the day
Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with ultrasound-guided treatments
Record vitals, update medical histories, and accurately document in the EMR
Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care
Collect payments at time of service and deliver financial packets as instructed by Treatment Plan Coordinators or the financial team
Verify insurance eligibility and ensure all paperwork is properly completed
Maintain clinical and front office supplies; ensure all rooms are clean and well-stocked
Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and all internal protocols
Handle confidential patient information with professionalism and discretion
Support internal coordination between clinical and administrative teams
Participate in team trainings and ongoing process improvement initiatives
Other duties as assigned by the department lead/manager.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent)
High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s or higher preferred)
Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
