We’re hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the full lifecycle of mechanical design — from blank-sheet concepts through to flight-ready hardware. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role based primarily out of our newly built facility.
Own end-to-end design of structural and mechanical components (CAD, analysis, drawings, DFM, testing)
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, systems, and avionics teams to deliver flight-ready solutions
Lead design reviews and iterate rapidly based on test data and field results
Support prototype builds and hardware integration on-site
Influence design standards, tools, and best practices as we scale
10+ years of mechanical design experience in aerospace or high-reliability environments
Deep expertise in full product lifecycle — concept, design, build, test, iterate
Proficiency in CAD (e.g. SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of materials, machining, structural analysis, and thermal considerations
Experience designing for launch environments, vacuum, or thermal extremes is a plus
Ability to be on-site most of the time — this role is in the heart of our build and test activity
Be part of a founding team shaping breakthrough space hardware
Work on-site, hands-on, where decisions happen fast and builds happen daily
Competitive compensation, full benefits, and equity participation
Live and work on the legendary Space Coast — launchpads on your doorstep, ocean in your backyard
We’re a fast-moving new space company headquartered on the Space Coast, building mission-critical hardware for next-gen orbital systems. We're assembling a team of expert builders who thrive in the zero-margin-for-error world of spaceflight.
