The Portfolio Manager leads a team that manages private commercial real estate fund portfolios within our Investment Management (IM) division. Our firm provides investment management and advisory services to our proprietary private and registered funds under our registered investment advisor affiliate, CrowdStreet Advisors (CSA). You will have the opportunity to play a major role in the development of a unique and innovative alternative investment platform. This position reports to the Vice President, Investment Products & Performance.
Oversee and manage CSA’s private and registered fund portfolios, including performance monitoring, risk management, cash management, acquisitions and dispositions, tax compliance, due diligence, reporting, and capital calls
Act as the primary point of contact with third-party sponsors to discuss portfolio performance updates, acquisitions, dispositions, reporting, transaction management, due diligence, capital calls, valuations, and other related tasks
Lead fund valuations on behalf of CSA’s private and registered funds in accordance with the advisor’s valuation policy
Drive business objectives by providing actionable recommendations to senior management to optimize portfolio management, leveraging industry best practices to ensure data-driven decision-making and alignment with division goals
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including investments, accounting/finance, and operating teams to advance division goals and ensure cohesive strategy execution
Ensure the team is following defined processes and controls for a successful fund audit process, particularly as it relates to consistency of valuation methodology and accuracy of data inputs
Work closely with Finance to support timely communications with the audit team and ensure required process and procedure changes are well-documented and followed in a timely and accurate manner
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields (advanced degree or industry certifications a plus)
7+ years of relevant experience in commercial real estate (banking, private equity, development, investments)
Proven track record of managing a team and leading complex projects
Extensive knowledge of commercial real estate markets, investment strategies, and valuation techniques and principles
Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
Self-starter attitude with the ability to perform at a high level within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture that emphasizes excellence
