Why This Role Matters

We are seeking a seasoned attorney to support land use and environmental law matters in a respected and collaborative legal environment. Ideal candidates will bring at least seven years of experience working with California-specific regulations, including CEQA, planning and zoning ordinances, and regulatory permitting. The role involves advising clients on complex entitlement processes and environmental compliance strategies. Experience in land use litigation is considered a strong asset.

How You'll Contribute

  • Counsel clients on land use entitlements, environmental reviews, and permitting
  • Interpret and apply planning/zoning regulations and CEQA requirements
  • Develop legal strategies for securing project approvals
  • Optionally represent clients in land use-related litigation matters

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the California State Bar
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant land use and environmental law experience
  • Substantial knowledge and practical experience with CEQA, planning and zoning laws, and California land use procedures
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Land use litigation experience is preferred
  • Writing sample is required as part of the application process
