Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Tax Accountant / Executive Assistant (EA) to provide both tax-related support and high-level administrative assistance. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with a background in U.S. tax preparation who also excels at managing schedules, handling communications, and keeping operations running smoothly. You will work closely with leadership and senior accountants to ensure efficient workflow and excellent client service in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Support:
Prepare basic individual and business tax returns under supervision
Assist with gathering financial documents, reviewing tax forms, and organizing client files
Support tax planning and compliance tasks
Help with IRS correspondence and maintain accurate client tax records
Stay updated on relevant tax deadlines and help ensure timely submissions
Executive Assistance:
Manage calendars, appointments, and meeting coordination
Organize emails, respond to inquiries, and draft professional correspondence
Prepare documents, presentations, and reports as needed
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal staff to support day-to-day operations
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
1 to 2 years of experience in U.S. tax support or preparation
Prior experience as an Executive Assistant or in an administrative support role
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook); experience with tax software is a plus
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines independently
Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
Comfortable working independently in a remote setup
Experience working in a CPA firm or tax-focused office is a plus
Familiarity with real estate or small business tax clients is preferred
Experience with tools like Slack, Zoom, Hubstaff, or CRMs is beneficial
