Why This Role Matters

MissionHires is seeking an Information Security Infrastructure Specialist to ensure our information systems architecture adheres to security standards and best practices. You will design, implement, and monitor security controls across cloud, network, server, and endpoint infrastructures; lead hardening, vulnerability management, and incident response; and drive continuous compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS. This role partners closely with technology teams to reduce risk, maintain service availability, and support audits, business continuity, and security awareness initiatives.

How You'll Contribute

  • Embed information security policies, standards, and directives into processes, applications, and infrastructure
  • Plan, design, implement, administer, and monitor cloud services and infrastructure; lead virtualization, integration, and migration initiatives
  • Identify security requirements for new infrastructure/services and major changes; advise on the design and implementation of security controls
  • Design and execute hardening procedures for network devices, servers (physical/virtual), applications, cloud services, endpoints, and mobile devices
  • Install, configure, administer, and monitor security tools and controls; identify gaps and execute remediation plans
  • Support periodic vulnerability scans and penetration tests; propose remediation and lead implementation
  • Monitor technology KPI dashboards to ensure availability and compliance of critical IT services
  • Support incident response and recovery; assist in security breach investigations and forensic analysis
  • Lead periodic security assessments to detect control gaps and policy non-compliance; advise on remediation
  • Collaborate on audit requirements; provide evidence and coordinate remediation activities
  • Support security strategy, security awareness, business continuity, and data protection/recovery processes
  • Leverage and manage tools including Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiNAC), Citrix Netscaler, Microsoft Defender/Identity/Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM), Tanium, Horizon3.ai, ServiceNow, Axonius, Check Point Harmony, and Azure

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • 3+ years as an information security advisor or security architect for cloud services

  • 3+ years of experience across at least 5 of the following domains: security solution architecture; platform virtualization/integration; data classification/DLP; content filtering; identity and access management; privileged access management; cryptographic services; security hardening; secure protocols; network/perimeter protection; remote access; vulnerability management; penetration testing; incident management; forensic analysis

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

  • Knowledge of relevant frameworks and standards: Information Security (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS); Data Privacy (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI); Risk Management (ISO 27005, ISO 31000, NIST SP 800-39); Business Continuity (ISO 27031, ISO 22301); IT Management (ISO 20000, COBIT, ITIL)

  • Ability to communicate security policies, requirements, and assessment results to peers and management, and influence compliance

  • Strong multitasking, organization, and attention to detail; comfortable in fast-paced, high-stress environments

  • Hands-on experience with the tech stack:

    • FortiGate Firewalls, FortiSwitch, FortiNAC

    • Citrix Netscaler

    • Microsoft Defender, Identity, and Cloud

    • Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM)

    • Tanium (patching/deployment)

    • Horizon3.ai (autonomous pen testing)

    • ServiceNow (Ticketing/CMDB)

    • Axonius (Asset Management)

    • Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration; Azure
