Why This Role Matters

MissionHires is hiring a full-time French/English bilingual HR Administrator based in Pittsburgh, PA to support our Canada location. This role oversees diversified HR, clerical, and payroll services, partnering closely with plant management and our corporate HR/payroll teams. We’re seeking a professional, collaborative, self-driven administrator with strong Microsoft Office (especially Excel) skills, HR/payroll process knowledge, and the ability to manage confidential information. Quarterly travel to Canada required.

How You'll Contribute

  • Facilitate HR issues, employee questions, and paperwork in partnership with the corporate HR team
  • Set up and maintain employee files; assign and enter hourly employee numbers in the time clock system
  • Track time, PTO, attendance, and payroll status changes; coordinate weekly payroll with plant manager and corporate payroll team
  • Compile data from site personnel records and prepare required reports
  • Review personnel files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized parties at site and corporate locations
  • Support recruiting efforts in collaboration with the corporate recruiter
  • Compile and submit employee benefits paperwork to corporate HR for benefits administration
  • Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive HR and payroll information
  • Perform other duties as directed by management

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Bilingual in English and French (required)
  • Professional proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Working knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures
  • Dependable, punctual, and consistent attendance
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Ability to multi-task and complete several projects simultaneously
  • Team-oriented with ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to handle and protect confidential and sensitive information
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands
  • Working knowledge of HR/payroll practices and procedures, including applicable state and federal laws
  • ADP software experience (a plus)
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment law (a plus)
  • Ability to travel to Canada quarterly
