How You'll Contribute

  • Provide after-hours leadership across all hospital departments to maintain patient care quality and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and support staff, ensuring adequate resource allocation, staffing, and equipment deployment.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, including codes and rapid response situations.
  • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize bed usage and patient flow.
  • Act as Incident Command lead until emergency management personnel are on-site.
  • Serve as a liaison between staff, physicians, and administration to resolve issues and maintain communication.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and best practices.
  • Facilitate performance improvement initiatives and mentor team members.
  • Address and resolve patient concerns in real-time to promote satisfaction.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Required:

  • Associate's degree or diploma in Nursing (BSN in progress or willingness to obtain within 3 years).
  • Minimum 4 years of recent clinical experience.
  • Active New Jersey RN license.
  • Demonstrated leadership and independent decision-making skills.
  • Solid understanding of nursing processes, standards of care, and healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of evidence-based criteria, utilization review, and discharge planning.

Schedule:

  • Part-time, night shift (28 hours/week)
  • Rotating weekends and holidays (4 of 6 major holidays required)
