Why This Role Matters

MissionHires is seeking a Head of Central America (Fintech) to launch, scale, and own growth across Central American markets. You will drive end-to-end market strategy, P&L, partnerships, customer acquisition and retention, pricing, CX, and team leadership. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be the internal and external face of Central America, building a high-performing regional team, forging trust-based relationships with diaspora communities and commercial partners, and continuously improving performance through data-driven experimentation. Preference for Mexico-based candidates; international travel required.

How You'll Contribute

  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and go-to-market plan for Central America (sending and receiving markets)
  • Own market P&L, delivering growth, unit economics, and profitability targets
  • Design and iterate customer acquisition, retention, pricing, and lifecycle strategies with a test-and-learn approach
  • Monitor and interpret growth, operational, and financial metrics to optimize execution and outcomes
  • Conduct user research and competitive analysis to recommend product and experience improvements
  • Build, deepen, and scale partnerships with diaspora communities and commercial partners across Central America
  • Serve as the external and internal face of Central America, representing the market to leadership and stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Finance, Tech, Legal, Compliance, and People Ops to unblock execution
  • Establish and improve scalable growth tactics, processes, and playbooks for multi-country expansion
  • Hire, lead, coach, and retain a diverse, high-performing regional team of growth managers
  • Set clear goals, timelines, and operating rhythms for the regional team and hold teams accountable
  • Report progress, insights, and needs to executive leadership with data-backed recommendations
  • Travel internationally to meet banks, regulators, disbursal partners, internal teams, and customers

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 7–15 years of experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments (e.g., startups, consulting or finance)

  • Proven track record launching and scaling markets with full ownership of growth and profitability (P&L)

  • Experience building, developing, and leading multi-regional teams

  • Advanced stakeholder management and partnership-building skills, including work with diaspora communities and commercial partners

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions and run test-and-learn experiments

  • Understanding of the Central American regulatory landscape; financial regulation experience is advantageous

  • Ability to travel internationally on a periodic and ad-hoc basis

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills across Customer Service, Finance, Tech, Legal, Compliance, and People Ops
