Why This Role Matters

MissionHires is seeking a Global Sourcing Manager on behalf of a client to lead category strategies, drive cost reduction and margin improvement, negotiate global contracts, and manage world-class suppliers. This role owns end-to-end strategic sourcing from intent to purchase through delivery, supports new product innovation, develops multi-year category plans, and implements risk mitigation and productivity initiatives across multiple global locations.

How You'll Contribute
  • Optimize cost and improve margins for assigned products and categories
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies, including multi-year category and spend consolidation plans
  • Lead global contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and total cost of ownership improvements
  • Launch and support new product innovation; drive best practices across the category
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and communicate all strategic sourcing activities from intent to purchase through delivery
  • Recruit, maintain, and manage world-class suppliers with a focus on quality, price, delivery, service, and TCO
  • Drive spend analysis to identify strategic sourcing opportunities within assigned categories and across the supply chain
  • Prepare, review, and manage contracts, bids, proposals, and supplier agreements for legal and commercial accuracy
  • Develop and present supplier scorecards and conduct business reviews
  • Create and utilize systems to evaluate supplier quotations using appropriate negotiation and sourcing strategies
  • Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability
  • Proactively implement countermeasures to negative market trends and missed performance objectives
  • Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies; lead annual productivity and cost savings projects to hit targets
  • Negotiate effective cash and inventory management positions with suppliers
  • Perform other related duties as required

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement-related experience
  • MBA preferred
  • CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or CPIM (Planning and Inventory Management) certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Demonstrated understanding of lean principles and demand flow techniques
  • Commodity and market expertise with strong technical competency
  • Proven project management, problem solving, and supplier management skills
  • Ability to work with and effectively communicate across all levels of the company and with suppliers
