Mission HCM is recruiting for a Fire Sprinkler Sales Rep to drive growth in the San Diego market. This entrepreneurially minded professional will formulate sales strategies, build and expand customer relationships, identify and qualify projects, develop proposals, and help elevate the client's brand within the local construction community. A strong fire sprinkler background and proven sales achievements are essential.

How You'll Contribute

  • Formulate and develop sales goals and plans for the contract department
  • Collaborate with District Management to execute sales strategies and achieve targets
  • Locate and qualify desired/targeted projects and foster local customer relationships
  • Engage actively in industry associations and the customer community to grow brand presence
  • Prospect, schedule sales calls, follow up on leads, and execute marketing strategies
  • Develop, maintain, and broaden customer relationships through quotes, technical support, and issue resolution
  • Maintain focus on overall profit objectives throughout sales and project execution
  • Prepare layouts, estimates, calculations, quotations, and proposals
  • Process proposals and contracts; provide timely, complete turnover/billing information to operations
  • Seek out new customers, including cold calling, to expand the customer base
  • Provide project management on sold projects as required
  • Estimate related service work and small projects, including day-work, as required
  • Offer guidance to operations team members (design, field superintendent) during project execution

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 10+ years of fire sprinkler sales experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, sprinkler system design drawings, and applicable NFPA codes and standards
  • Demonstrated leadership, proven negotiation skills, and documented sales achievements
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed; able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or engineering, or equivalent directly applicable experience
  • Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Previous sprinkler design experience, including hydraulic calculations (preferred)
  • Fire sprinkler project management experience (preferred)
  • Proven ability to close sales and handle a variety of situations throughout the sales cycle
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam
  • Job Type: Full-time; Location: San Diego, CA
  • No formal supervisory responsibilities; ability to provide guidance to operations team members
  • Preferred certification: NICET (not required)
