This leader will plan and direct accounting and finance across multiple legal entities, own month-end close and reporting, drive budgeting/forecasting, manage treasury and cash flow, oversee compliance and risk (insurance, bonds, audits, taxes), and grow a high-performing accounting team. How You'll Contribute

  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, inventory accounting, and general ledger maintenance
  • Manage timely and accurate month-end close activities
  • Maintain and document accounting policies, procedures, and SOPs
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (monthly, quarterly, YTD)
  • Coordinate Weekly Flash Report and Monthly KPI workbook
  • Provide written and verbal variance analysis vs. budget/forecast and recommend actions
  • Analyze overhead trends and communicate insights
  • Analyze project job costs and ensure accurate accounting
  • Partner with President and VP on job pricing strategies to increase profitability
  • Create and maintain the annual budget with management
  • Develop and update quarterly forecasts with management
  • Maintain banking relationships with President and VP
  • Review daily/weekly cash needs with leadership and develop cash flow forecasts
  • Ensure proper funding across legal entities on a daily basis
  • Establish and maintain a strong system of internal controls
  • Manage insurance programs (property, general liability, workers’ comp)
  • Manage project bonds and related documentation
  • Maintain relationship with external CPA and coordinate reviews/audits
  • Ensure tax and regulatory compliance with external CPA (income tax, sales tax, 941s)
  • Prepare business and contractor licenses
  • Create a positive work environment; hire, train, and retain accounting/finance staff
  • Develop cross-training across accounting functions
  • Assess accounting operations and recommend process and system improvements
  • Assist with pre-qualifications for general contractors/subcontractors
  • Support President and management with ad-hoc projects and other assigned duties

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, including 1+ year managing people
  • Direct experience in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, collaboration, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Availability to work 45–50 hours per week
  • Preferred: Experience with AI billing software
  • Preferred: Experience with Foundation Construction Software
  • Preferred: Glass industry experience
