Environmental Health and Safety Officer - Littleton, Massachusetts

MissionHires is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to lead safety initiatives across multiple facilities in a hybrid role based in Littleton, MA. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, this role blends hands-on site work with strategic planning to ensure compliance, strengthen a culture of safety, and manage environmental programs and vendor relationships.

• Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure OSHA and local regulatory compliance
• Draft, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and standards
• Manage environmental permits and ensure documentation is current and accurate
• Coordinate with vendors and property owners on safety-related maintenance and corrective actions
• Lead safety training programs and maintain materials in the Learning Management System (LMS)
• Serve on emergency response, crisis management, and facility safety teams
• Support internal clients with corporate service requests and maintain vendor relationships
• Monitor chemical exposure risks and prepare/submit required regulatory reports
• Compile and submit weekly safety and compliance reports for leadership review
• Maintain organized digital records and standardize safety supply procurement across locations

• High School Diploma/GED with 20+ years of experience, OR Associate’s degree with 14+ years, OR Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years, OR Master’s degree with 10+ years

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable safety standards

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

• Excellent communication, training, and organizational skills

• Ability to interpret building plans and coordinate with property stakeholders

• Physical ability to walk facilities, climb ladders, lift up to 40 lbs, and access confined spaces as needed

• Experience with facility safety inspections, emergency preparedness, vendor coordination, and digital record keeping
