An established organization is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Officer to oversee safety and environmental compliance across several operational sites. This role reports to senior corporate leadership and plays a key part in maintaining regulatory compliance, strengthening workplace safety initiatives, and supporting facility operations.
The position combines hands-on site engagement with administrative oversight, offering the opportunity to implement meaningful safety improvements and maintain compliance programs that protect employees and facilities.

How You'll Contribute

  • Conduct routine facility inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Maintain environmental permits and ensure regulatory documentation remains current.

  • Coordinate with property management teams and external vendors to address safety-related

    facility needs.

  • Deliver safety training programs and manage training documentation through the Learning

    Management System (LMS).

  • Participate in emergency response planning, crisis management efforts, and safety committees.

  • Monitor chemical exposure risks and complete required reporting for regulatory agencies.

  • Support internal teams with facility and corporate services requests.

  • Prepare weekly safety and compliance reports for leadership.

  • Maintain organized digital records and standardize safety-related purchasing across sites.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work.

  • One of the following safety certifications is required:
    ○ Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
    ○ Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
    ○ Occupational Health & Safety Technologist (OHST)
    ○ Or a comparable recognized safety certification

  • High School Diploma/GED with 20+ years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s Degree with 14+ years of experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of experience, OR Master’s Degree with 10+ years of experience.

  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance standards.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Excellent communication, training, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to interpret building plans and collaborate with facilities stakeholders.

  • Physical ability to walk facilities, climb ladders, lift up to 40 lbs, and access confined spaces when necessary.
