Electrical Estimator (Commercial Construction) - West Palm Beach, FL

MissionHires is hiring an experienced Electrical Estimator (Commercial Construction) to produce accurate, competitive bids for commercial projects. You will lead takeoffs, build detailed estimates using McCormick, analyze drawings/specs, collaborate with preconstruction and project teams, and support seamless project handoffs. Ideal candidates bring 6–10 years of estimating experience, strong blueprint interpretation, market awareness, and a solutions-first mindset aligned with our values of Innovation, Passion, Impact, and Growth. Compensation: $70,000–$90,000 with full benefits (401k match, medical/dental/vision, PTO, holidays).

• Analyze project documents, drawings, and specifications to define scope of work
• Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs
• Build detailed estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and contingencies
• Review and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and preconstruction teams
• Prepare and submit complete, timely, and competitive bid proposals
• Review subcontractor bids and supplier quotations for competitiveness and completeness
• Stay current on market pricing, materials, and construction methods
• Identify risks, gaps, assumptions, and cost-saving opportunities in estimates
• Maintain and improve estimating databases, processes, and vendor relationships
• Support project handoff to operations for a smooth transition

• 6–10 years of proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial construction
• Strong proficiency with McCormick estimating software (required)
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, components, and construction methods
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and mathematical skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organization
• Ability to work with urgency, meet deadlines, and follow through consistently
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
