Our client is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead and drive all environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance, building a strong safety culture, and implementing programs that reduce risk, improve employee well-being, and support operational excellence.
This is a high-impact leadership position for someone who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and knows how to influence both the floor and the leadership team.
Lead and manage all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives across the facility
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
Drive a proactive safety culture focused on prevention, accountability, and continuous improvement
Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations; implement corrective actions
Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and leadership teams
Oversee workers’ compensation, injury management, and return-to-work programs
Maintain and improve environmental compliance programs, including waste management and reporting
Partner with operations and engineering teams to ensure safe processes, equipment, and facility changes
Track, analyze, and report key EHS metrics and KPIs to leadership
Lead and mentor EHS team members and safety committees
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred
5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, with Tier 1 automotive experience required (non-negotiable)
Proven experience supporting high-volume, fast-paced production environments
Strong expertise in OSHA compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting
Hands-on experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
Demonstrated success in reducing safety incidents and driving a strong safety culture
Experience working closely with plant leadership and production teams to influence and implement safety initiatives
Strong understanding of environmental compliance and safety management systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization
Experience in unionized environments is a strong plus
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
